Shakespeare North Playhouse

Shakespeare North Playhouse opened its doors in July 2022 and has already welcomed thousands of visitors.

The building itself is quite remarkable, embracing both modern and historic design to create a traditional Shakespearean Theatre, Studio Space and Sir Ken Dodd’s Outdoor Performance Garden. Plus there’s exhibition space, a café, bar, shop, piazza, learning space and meeting room. With a wide ranging programme or performance alongside comedy and music there is something for everyone to enjoy.
